I wanted to avoid restaurants in the tourist area in Merida. I found this restaurant 5 km away from Merida downtown. (eleven euros if you take a taxi). The owner was friendly and accommodating, I called a night before to make a reservation and then two hours before my reservation to push it an hour later (walking tour took longer than expected). He did it with not issues. I ordered a pitcher of rebujito. They did not have it in their menu but he was kind to make it happen for me and my friends. Delicious food on front of a lake, nice view relaxing environment. Rich food and home made cheese tart.
Hemos asistido mi familia para celebrar mi cumpleaños y ha sido fabuloso, tanto el trato,el servicio y por supuesto la comida raciones exquisita y abundante todo un acierto. Dropped in here whilst walking the Via de la Plata. Wow what a spot for a coffee and great coffee it was. Beautiful location and great service. Super friendly. If you are walking the VdlP make sure you drop in and enjoy the beautiful views and friendly service and definitely the great coffee.
Disfrutar de un día libre en un paraje inigualable no tiene precio. Pedimos un par de brochetas, mixta y otra de chocos muy ricas y completas con patatas y unas gambas con la calidad Suroeste a la que nos tienen acostumbrados. Muchas gracias por el trato. Repetiremos.

We came here on a tour with high expectations and we were not disappointed. The staff was VERY accommodating to our every wish. This place is way off the beaten path but very worth a journey!!!
