El Colono - Table reservation

El Colono is a wonderful place! We found it wandering through the lovely streets of Nerja, and was able to easily make reservations the night before via Facebook Messenger when I got back to our rental. When we arrived we found a very welcoming staff. They didn't make me feel bad for my broken Spanish, as their English was very good. The place itself had great ambiance, and the decor felt true and authentic to Andalusia. There was a vegetarian menu, and a kid's menu – both necessities for us. The portions were more than generous. we had the most beautiful evening and dinner of our trip in the warm hospitality of yelena and her beautiful family. they worked hard from start to end to ensure that our experience was excellent. Wednesday night flamenco was a wonderful experience... in a small intimate environment. the food was prepared from this world, most of it from yelena. they whipped together a delicious vegetarian meal for me (the one vegetarin in the group!) weeping and dessert were delicious! yelena reacted at speed when I informed them for reservations on fb. we will be back and recommend this wonderful experience on a Wednesday evening when they visit in or around nerja.

the best night in the region that they can have amazing service (they are made to feel family directly) the best paella in Spain and the best flamenco I could imagine! can not wait to come back
