We were struggling to find places that served alcoholic flights, but stumbled across El Jefe. We arrived at 4 PM on a Saturday and were seated immediately. Margarita flights were $29 for four (tangletown, blackberry ginger, tepache, and blood orange mezcal and we ordered the guacamole with house made chips and a side of queso. Margaritas were the perfect size. Tepache (pineapple was our favorite and I can’t wait to go back to order it in the full size. I threw a surprise birthday party for my husband back in April 21st of 2023. We had around 25 30 people show up. I called several places prior and pretty much all of them refused to accommodate that amount of people. El Jefe was the only restaurant that welcomed me and my party with open arms! I am very appreciative of that. The party was a success! The food and service was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back, thank you so much El Jefe!!

We’ve been regulars since they first opened their doors and love that they are in our neighborhood. We love everything on the menu!Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to being closed all winter which was a major bummer because we used to go even on the coldest night of the year and especially because they don’t have the avocado fries any more! ?It was our favorite item on the menu.

It 's not a bad spot for some tacos and other options, but it 's pretty overpriced. The food was tasty and the service was good, but nothing spectacular. Calling this spot okay really sums up everything perfectly.Vegetarian options: The vegetable tacos were good.
