Quirky Tex Mex is a rare find in the mountains of Castilla Leon, especially when the place has such an odd name... Still, the restaurant on the Plaza in Ponferrada is decked with the usual paper flags and Lucha Libre posters, and a slushy machine on the bar mixing up the usual brightly colored Margaritas. I didn't try the lurid liquor, but we sampled the vegetarian nachos and enchiladas. The nachos had plenty of jalapenos and nopale strips, and some decent guacamole, but portions were not large as Americans usually see (still was plenty for a meal. I really like this restaurant. I´m from Ponferrada, when my friends came to visit me, we always have dinner here. Dishes are mouth- watering, incredibly, there are several choices for those who prefer less spicy food, like mushroom cheetadillas . The price is reasonable too. Music and decoration make you feel as if you were in a Tarantino film . We always enjoy this place. So, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Four of us visited last week. J didn't really want to go as all Mexican restaurants food tastes the same. It turned out that King Kong was just like the others he'd visited. We had one dish each and whilst the taste was okay it was average at best and lacking in texture. The wine was tasty.
the truth is that this place has lived better times, perhaps it is a shortage of staff or that every restaurant needs to be recycled. Anyway, the food was good but not at the level of the previous times, a pity, still a great choice

the burritos very different from those of other places, was very rich. the dessert too and the girl who treated us a lot. I recommend it!
It took us a little while, but a very kind and helpful waiter called gabi served us terribly.
