Very windy in Southern Spain this week and Casares is no different. In the centre of town is El Meson de Casares, a few metres from the main town square and a welcome retreat from the wind, most restaurants/tapa's bars were closed as it was 4pm, so finding Meson de Casares open was a bonus. You enter through a café type area which was quite scruffy and had lots of used cup and plates which had not been picked up. When you walk to the to the rear of the restaurant which is a different section, it is much nicer. We decided on tapa's and sangria which turned out to be a wise choice.
