This Spa hotel is at a hight of just over 4000ft above sea level in one of the most beautiful areas of Tenerife, and could not be located in a better place for a chill out relaxing atmosphere. It can get a bit cold, especially in the winter time but the indoor pool is very warm. There is also an outdoor pool. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. You will definitely need a car to appreciate the area and Spain's highest town Vilaflor, is just a short drive away. We usually visit local restaurants when away but the food here is excellent. This was our second visit to the hotel but will not be the last.
Went for a couple of nights. Nice place, very peaceful and quiet, the rooms aren't to bad, nothing special (wasn't keen on the fact that the mini bar wasn't cold) The breakfast is basic, obviously due to it being quiet and rural. We were told the staff that do the meals had changed so maybe this is why it wasn't up to standard. We had steak but it had a lot of fat and it was a bit hard to chew, pasta which had loads of oil in the bottom, risotto was ok. I would gladly pay them kind of prices if it was good but sadly I wasn't a fan at all. Everyone has different experiences so this was mine. Sorry.
Excellent rustic Canarian restaurant in the wonderful El Nogal hotel. Good wines to choose from not too expensive. Almejos con gambas frijoles clams with prawns beans closely followed by Canarian chicken as the gourmet highlight of two weeks in Tenerife
The food wasn’t good, it was very poor quality: looked and tasted pretty awful. The only reason anyone comes here is probably because there’s no other place nearby. I barely touched my plate. Would not recommend at all.
