I don’t live nearby, but whenever I’m in the area, I make sure to stop by El Oaxaqueño for dinner or takeout. It’s a cozy, family-run place, and I’m not particular about waiting times or service—I just want delicious food, and that’s exactly what they deliver. The prices are quite reasonable, too. I appreciate that I often see small families dining here, mostly from Mexican or Latino backgrounds, which suggests the food must be authentic and tasty since they're more familiar with the cuisine than I am. I absolutely love their chicken soup and always order a large container to take home. I usually go for the chicken enchiladas, but during my latest visit, I tried the Tinga, which features ste...

I ordered nachos and the avocado slices were black and had a terrible odor. I called the restaurant to inform them about the rotten avocados, and the woman I spoke with was rude and unhelpful. I simply wanted to let them know so they could check the avocados before serving them to customers. Instead, she started mocking me for bringing up the issue. Additionally, a family member opened their order and found that the yellow rice smelled and tasted sour. We will not be ordering from them again.

This was my second visit to El Oaxaqueño. We waited a long time just to get menus, and our server wasn’t very helpful. I ordered an Alambre and my friend had a Cemita, but both dishes were bland, especially considering the price. The long wait didn’t help either. The first time I came, the food was good, but this time it seemed like the cook didn’t know what they were doing.

I just ordered some food and had to leave because the meat was undercooked and the service was terrible. It was a really unpleasant experience. I would advise against entering this place. Additionally, the man sitting next to us found hair in his food. There are plenty of other restaurants nearby that are much better. Book a table now

I ordered tongue tacos, the tongue had a bad taste, and that meat was starting to get bad, I told the waitress and she said no, that was the normal flavor. I returned the tacos because they really tasted bad and they still charged me for them. And to top it off, I spent the entire afternoon and night sick.

I had a lovely dinner at El Oaxaqueño with an old friend! It's a cozy little restaurant, and the huartes were excellent. The only downside was that we were disturbed by a few tiny flies throughout our meal.

Called in a 16 person order for pick up- they made sure everything was labeled appropriately! Portion sizes were excellent and food was hot. Highly recommend ordering and eating on the beach.

The Menudo is excellent, and with this Papantla style, your kids will absolutely love it. I highly recommend it! Book a table now

?The food is very delicious... especially when I'm very hungry, I order a molcajete, a delight for connoisseurs.
