We ate here by accident as the restaurant we usually ate at was shut. Fortunately we were looking to eat quite early by French standards (7pm) so the restaurant was just opening and empty. The staff were amazing! Very welcoming and happy. They explained the menu in detail with knowledge of each dish. They made suggestions and were happy to accommodate allergies where they could. The food was DELICIOUS. The courses were bought out in good time and looked great. My children ate everything and loved it. The adults ate everything and loved it! WE didn't feel rushed even though they soon began turning away people who hadn't reserved a table. This place is clearly well known for its service and foo...

There are two kinds of Restaurants in Collioure: Touristy (The majority) and a handful for foodies and gourmets who are interested in eating fresh, local creations. If you want to go to a good restaurant here you are going to need reservations. We started with the Carcutarie plate for two, it included two cheeses, Chorizo, and two kinds of ham. We asked the waitress to chose a glass of wine to go with it, we each got a different kind of local Rose' which was nice because we got to taste each others wine. I got the Sole and a white wine next. My husband got the pork with a glass of red wine. The pork was so good I wished I had ordered it. It is an intimate place and we enjoyed conversing with...

We booked in advance which I'd recommend as it got busy. We were the first ones in at 7.30 but it quickly filled up. The waitress spoke good English but we tried our bestist French. The menu as earlier noted is small but offers fish, pièce dû boucherie, can't remember the others. But the menu had changed from the last review. We shared the charcuterie plate with cheese which was lovely. The mains were very nice indeed and the wine is excellent with choice and price. I'd recommend the cafe gourmand as dessert if it offers the tarte citron as it was incredible. OH loved his choice too. Would recommend to eat here.

We ate in this superb restaurant , outside on the cobble street last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful food. Served by excellent well informed staff the evening was truly memorable . Our lovely waitress was both passionate about the delicacies and very helpful. The wine which was recommended by another knowledgeable member of staff was both excellent and not too expensive. Each course was beautifully displayed without any disappointment. Book a table now

One of our first nights out in Collioure during our weeklong stay, and we fortunately found a spot outside at El Capillo, and a couple of enticing things on the menu. We started with a salmon tartare, and moved on to lapin and grilled fish, then finished with a sweet bite. Good food, nice people, and reasonably priced for the location.

Found this resto thanks to TripAdvisor. Very good service, quick and English speaking. The menu is not big, of a few dishes shown on a board, which makes the place also special. Fish (dorade) was very nice, and a portion is quite fulfilling. Not many tables outside, so better book in advance.

El Capillo has a short menu, but the dishes are of high quality and taste good.We had Asiette Charcut as a starter and Daurade Filet and Tartare Thon as main courses. With a Trigone as wine this became a good meal. Recommend to book a table.

Dropped in for lunch in this amazing picturesque village following a TripAdvisor search. Very nice set menu for adults & children. Only thing knocking a point off was speed of service which was v. slow for a family lunch. Book a table now
