My family and I come here on a fairly consistent basis on weekends for a delicious cheap meal. Your 8h or 12h family chicken meals are both a really good bargain for the price you pay. Make sure to download and install their mobile app as they routinely have offers on the app that make it even cheaper! The staff here is always friendly and hard working! Even with the ongoing pandemic, they all do a big job with customer service. The floor is marked to help you keep distance from other people. You have to wear a mask to enter the restaurant. You even bring your order to the curb if you don't feel comfortable.
Another issue is that El Pollo Loco doesn’t seem to empower its management team to resolve customer complaints. This situation was clearly not my fault, and if they had disclosed that delivery was through a third party, I could have chosen to order directly from them and communicated with the driver to avoid this issue. Ultimately, I had to order through UberEats directly and chose a different location because I refuse to support a business that doesn't value customer service or provide any solutions for their mistakes.
Worst in the chain I 've found yet. Franchisee cheats on size of chickens...comes out overcooked and dry-as-bone nasty see pics of tiny wishbone and wing. Wing was skin over bone...so they threw on another. I guess they thought two un- eatable wings was better than one un-eatable wing. Da! Salty to the max...didn 't really even taste like Polo Loco 's recipe. Mac and cheese was watered down soup. Very disappointing! No Jalipanios! Asian peppers instead. On my top 10 Worst restaurant list.
Dedicated hard working staff. Keven who should be in his early 20?s really went all the way to ensure that I?ve a selection of my choices. Being from NY he took time to know me and suggest food per my palate. Hard working, dedicated and sincere staff like him make business establishments successful. Next time I ever come across El Pollo Loco, it will be because of the customer service Keven provided. Good luck and best wishes Keven!

I went to pick up a 10-piece chicken family meal and was welcomed by the best customer service from Isabel. She was incredibly nice and asked if I needed any add-ons like chips and salsa. I really appreciate that, especially when I'm in a hurry and can't remember everything needed to make dinner special for my family. Thank you, Isabel! The experience can be inconsistent. I usually order the chicken tostada salad, but sometimes the tostada is heaped full while other times it's only about three-quarters full. The amount of dressing also varies; on some days I get just a tablespoon in a small container, while on others it's a half cup.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! My dogs can't get enough of their chicken, and I'm a huge fan of the house salsa. What I appreciate most is how generous they are with the salsa as well.
Your tacos are great. I usually get from them, and so are cheeky chest pieces. I love Spanish rice too. You have a disadvantage that makes things simple and safe.
