My sister and I went here for lunch today and it was a total disaster. I waited 10 minutes behind 1 person to order. I?m assuming the manager that was there today was filling in from another location because he didn?t know where anything was. When Ifinally was able to place my order he was rushing me through and after I paid he disappeared for like 2 minutes before giving memy receipt. The floor by the drink dispensers was so sticky you could hardly walk through the area. The napkins smelled likemildew and our salads were $10 nothing was fresh. The bottom of the beverage dispensers was so sticky that it was difficult to walk in that area. The napkins smelled musty, and our $10 salads were anything but fresh. There were hardly any rice or beans in them, and each salad only had three pieces of very dry chicken. The dressing tasted off, almost like it had no flavor at all. The chairs were unclean, and there was a group of customers wandering around, which was quite distracting. I feel like the manager should have asked them to settle down.

Tonight, when we were asked if we were ready to order, my husband asked for a few minutes. A few seconds later, the employee asked again if we were ready to order. I requested just a minute, and his response was a dismissive "Oooook." Frustrated, we drove away once more.
It's clear why there are no customers inside or in line. Management really needs to step in because the staff doesn’t seem to know how to handle things properly. We won't be returning!
Terrible service. It took an eternity just to place my order at the drive-thru. When the cashier took my card, he snatched it from my hand and then tossed it back at me. They mixed up two separate orders and handed me a burrito that was only partially wrapped in foil. I also never received my receipt. I only wanted to pick up some food for my family. I will never return and I absolutely do not recommend this location.

Since the pandemic, the drive-thru wait times at El Pollo Loco have grown noticeably longer, often making you wait several minutes. Even when the restaurant is empty inside, it seems the staff isn’t working as quickly as before, which can be frustrating. Occasionally, it feels like waiting for a single order takes an eternity. If the restaurant were busy, it would make sense, but that hasn’t been the case recently.
Terrible Waiting Experience! I strongly recommend avoiding this place if your car's air conditioning is not functioning properly. I had to wait an excessively long time for my food at the Lollo Loco drive-thru, and the cashier appeared to be in a bad mood. Overall, my first visit here was quite disappointing.
There was a long line at the drive-thru, which ended up blocking customers who were trying to leave the sit-down area. I arrived around 6 PM and counted about nine cars waiting in line. As a result, the front row parking spaces near the entrance, including the handicap spots, were inaccessible.
I’ve had nothing but disappointing experiences at this restaurant. Today will be my last visit. I ordered two salads, and both contained wilted greens and brown avocados. I had to spit out my first bite. I hope I don’t end up feeling sick. It was just disgusting.

Had the worst double chicken tostada Wednesday October 5th. I eat at the La Verne El Polo Loco once a week. I always get the same thing. Will start going to the San Dimas store from now on.
El Pollo Loco is delicious every time! My only request would be for a few more vegetarian options for Lent and meat-free Monday, please.
