Be sure to come with a reservation because they get pretty busy during dinner hours. We ended up sitting at a standing table and they were nice to accommodate us. We order the grande plate and it was a great share among 4 of us. Additionally, most of us ordered a different meat/veggie fajita variety and they all tasted great! Would recommend! They also gave each of us free tequila shot coupons. Unfortunately we weren't able to utilize them haha
we were out of options when we reached the end of the evening oberammergau. for a quick search we chose el puente. a plentiful surprise! we had the fajita, nachos and a 3 other speciality. lids enjoyed the nachos. I liked the fajita. Cardiovascular... good ambiente, like the place that is well filled with Mexican feeling. are large, so good to share. a good non-Bavarian option in oberammergau.
Visited as it was the first establishment I came across during a snow storm. It has a nice interior and that is the best I can say. The food was below average as was the service. I had the wings and rib combo, which I...recommend anyone avoid. The ribs were dry and salty, the wings chewy. The worst meal I have had in weeks. Will not be going back.
As we walked into door the owner asked where we were from and we told him US. He asked if we had reservations and we told him no, he said we could have a small table but not for long even though there were many...empty tables then and when we left. We ordered appetizers and left. Clearly they do not want Americans. Adios. Book a table now
You'd never expect great Mexican food in a little german village but this place was super good!!! The service is awesome and fast and the atmosphere is fun and lively. I'd recommend making reservations because it fills up fast. The food is super delicious and we are definitely coming back.
My family is from Texas, so we know good Mexican. We got tired of having German food, and found El Puente on Trip Advisor. We were very skeptical at first, but the food was very very good and tasty!!! The staff was so friendly! Such a great surprise.
El Puente is a very friendly, pleasant Mexican style restaurant in Oberammergau that serves delicious Mexican food. The portions are very generous, and the staff are superb. I highly recommend it to anyone passing through Oberammergau.
