The girl said, some sandwich bar might be worse, I replied at least it might be value for money. We were lazy and ordered the 'Tasting Menu '. Normally, a good idea in a decent restaurant. Not this time! The bread roll, was a give away, and we should have called it a day then. It was so rock hard that if I had of thrown it at the chef it would have killed him. The girl struggled to break it open then gave up. An amuse-bouche arrived, some variation on a quiche, egg tartlet thing with a pastry made by the same guy that made the bread. The knife was inadequate. A bread coated garlic mushroom was served alongside, barely warm. Plate was nice and probably decorated with the sauce the day before....

We've just been eating at EL RACCÓ thanks to the TGN Restaurant Wine Route. Great location, plenty of parking space opposite the restaurant, and a stunning fashionable nightclub-like entrance. We've loved it since the beginning: food of great quality, tasty sauces, unique mixtures and a balance between modern cuisine and Mediterranean ingredients. We've paid a rather low price (since the restaurant prices start at 30 euros per person) for a 3-course menu and lovely wines from the region: 20 euros per person. Until 18 November you can take advantage of the TGN Restaurant Wine Route and enjoy top fancy restaurants in Tarragona for 20 euros per person. It's worthwhile! We've enjoyed it a lot. E...

I hae eaten here four times while staying in the hotel where it is located. I have had both the breakfast buffet and lunch buffet. The term buffet is a bit of misnomer. While true that you can eat as much as you wish, the food is of a much higher quality than one typically finds in a buffet. In addition there is a omelet station at breakfast and a grill station at lunch where several means and several fishes are available to be cooked to order. The staff is multi lingual and very attentive. I rate this as very good. I have not tried the a al cate menu.
