First visit back to this lovely mountain restaurant on the winding road up to Guadallest since the pandemic. Simply cooked classic Spanish food, much of which is cooked on an open cold barbecue outside the front of the restaurant. It’s a meat lovers paradise. Everything from the fresh bread with Alioli, The delicious barbecued meats and sausages to the wonderful home-made desserts are all very good. The food is simple but freshly made and really tasty. The set menu is really good value for money, and the portions are large. En la localidad de Guadalest en medio de miles y miles de árboles frutales nísperos, se encuentra este amplio restaurante que ofrece, sobre todo, productos a la brasa. y platos tradicionales. Cuenta con un menú diario, pero en conjunto nada destacable. Llegar hasta allí es todo un viaje magnífico, pero gastronómicamente hablando, no aporta especialmente nada que merezca la pena en su conjunto. Nada esta malo, ciertamente, pero nada es excepcional, ni sus afamadas carnes a la brasa, ni sus publicitados postres caseros. Las cantidades son abundantes, eso sí, pero eso puede ser un reclamo gastronómico, para acudir de propio a comer a EL RIU. El recinto cuenta con una tienda de productos locales...

We've been in the family to visit the town of guadalest and when we came back to see the moose of classic motorcycles and by chance we've gone into this roaster and stayed to eat. the food has been spectacular! we have asked for the menu that includes some incomings, first dish, second, dessert and drink alone has enchanted all the dishes where we have to highlight the roasts that are impressive. the place is very clean and very friendly waitress. it's from those sites that brand you and stop by chance because on the road there's only the restaurant and a home-based product store also highly recommended.

El restaurante está muy bien y la comida es excelente. El pero está en el servicio. Creo que la persona que nos atendió tenía prisa o todo le daba igual. A pesar de tener reserva, nos dió excusas para no estar en la terraza (como le habíamos pedido con antelación). Cuando le pedimos un vino determinado, apareció con otro y nos dijo que no tenian más tintos y todo el tiempo tuvo una actitud desagradable. Ya sé que es un sitio para turistas, pero es una pena que con tan buena cocina, no puedas disfrutar un poco más
