What an amazing place! It was recommended to go and try the tacos here and boy oh boy, what a great recommendation. As I pulled into the parking lot, I could smell the savory flavors of the chicken, meat, tacos, all the onions and cilantro. As I walked into El Rodeo, I was greeted by the staff, they were enthusiastic, helpful, very hard-working, and even took some pics with me. The server took us to our table, provided the menus, and brought back the beverages that we ordered within minutes. I ordered the guacamole and they brought me sliced avocados. I was told they serve it like that now. I asked for a spoon to mash them up and they brought me a plastic spoon and the waitress just stood there and watched me struggle. I told her to take it back and have them prepare it like what they advertise. Big mistake, it came back just cut up and was not at all like the picture. At that point I just accepted it since I was hungry and didn’t want wait any longer.This place used to be good but must be under new ownership or management. Be careful when ordering here, ask to make sure it will look like the picture advertised. We will lot be back.
Super disappointed by our experience. Good, but a huge miss for me. The order and pickup was smooth, the food runner was great, but a negative and it is a big one. I found a long dark hair in my food. I was lucky to find the long dark hair in my food before I bite into my tortta. Besides the long dark hair, everything was fine. But I probably won? I recommend you to check your order before you call your next visit. I feel bad to write this review, but we paid good money for what has essentially turned out to be garbage.
Expanded Taco Truck Review: The tacos here are delicious, but the ordering process is a bit rigid. They only allow you to order five tacos of the same type, which is a missed opportunity. It would be great if they offered a taco deal that allowed for a mix-and-match option. Additionally, while there are TVs set up all around the awning, no one seemed to know how to operate them. Overall, a few adjustments could really enhance the experience!

I was really disappointed... because I don't think I'll ever find anything as good as this again. You and us together created something amazing. The flavors and toppings were fantastic, and the delivery time was perfect. MAKE SURE TO TRY THESE TACOS. This is the best option in the area!!!!
The tacos and papas are incredible, and you definitely have to try the lonches at this place! And don't forget about the Mexican Coca-Cola. There's a lovely outdoor patio with tables where you can enjoy your meal outside. Highly recommended!
These tacos are consistently delicious. Surprisingly, it's difficult to find simple tacos across the valley and in Texas of such consistent quality and price. The business has improved much of its infrastructure over the years.
Eating is always fresh and hot, servings are big. The staff are friendly and speak both Spanish English. The Papas are the best in the valley. The quality of the restaurant was very consistent when I go.

The food was absolutely great! I had the tacos DE birria combo and loved them. My wife had the flautas and loved those as well. I will make sure we come here everytime we visit McAllen.
