"Back again. The €14 set lunch menu has 60+ dishes. I had samorejo, botifara and carpaccio de pinya. Others had fish soup, Russian salad, salmon, tuna, salt cod, flan and fruit cocktail. All perfectly cooked. Seated outside. In the shade of the parish church. Lovely experience."

It’s a year since my last visit. 3 of us for lunch. The €14 menu of the day is impressive. 20 starters, mains and deserts. Includes bread, water, wine. It’s only in Catalan. I had stuffed red peppers, filled with minced bacalao, another diner had rice marinera. They were big starter portions. I had sausage and chips for mains. My companions had tuna, cooked to perfection, seared outer and raw uncooked centre, and a bacalao mornay. We all had the creme Catalan flavoured custard. Wine was an ok white.

For. €16.50 you get water, wine, bread and a choice from 15 starters, 16 fish or 16 meat dishes and desert. It’s the longest prix fix menu I’ve ever seen. I had arroz with blue crab, tears slices of veal and a caramelised apple tart. Others had the salad, squid, tuna and sea bass mains. They had cream crème Catalan, which I’ve had before. Always worth returning here. 29 December. We ate outside.

€15.00 fixed price menu. 20 starters, 20 mains, 10 deserts. Includes water or wine. I had mussels and meatballs with fries. Others had Salt cod salad and cod mousse stater and pork for mains. We all had a cream Catalan cake. Sitting outside in the shadow of the church, just off the town hall square. End October. There is an a la carte and portions are larger. This is a class place.

Warm early summer day. Sitting outside with the dogs. 3 of us, Gazpacho, house salad, and Serrano ham and mushroom scrambled eggs for starter. The ham ribs, veal with Roquefort sauce and veggie burgers for mains. Egg flan for desert. Leisurely meal. No rush. Just as well as they were overwhelmed with two tables of 12 arriving after us.
