My family has been coming by this Mexican restaurant for over twenty years. The owner always goes above and beyond to make every experience memorable. Cannot go wrong with a shot of tequila to end the meal either. They make one of the best Milanesa de Pollos in the area. For those of you that do not speak Spanish this is a breaded chicken breast. It is cooked perfectly and the flavor is amazing. Cannot tell you how many times I have been here but 75% of the time this dish is my go to. They also have great fajitas and per most restaurants and endless flow of chips and salsa. If your in Morton Grove and hankering for Mexican food El Sol will treat you like family.
The food is thoroughly excellent. If you want large Mexican food in the MG area, this place is great. If you want to run DON'T order by grubhub. Anyone who has ever set up their GH menu has done a terrible job and it hardly reflects their actual menu in the context of menu, names of objects and what comes on these articles. In my opinion, it was a GH consultant who needed a restaurant. expand their range during COVID. Call them directly and order them. It'll be delicious.
We were so glad we decided to stop at this restaurant. It had an authentic and cozy atmosphere. The chips and salsa were fantastic! I enjoyed a Peach Margarita that complemented our meal perfectly. Everything was served quickly and at the right temperature. Our waitress was very friendly, and overall, we had such a great experience that we can't wait to return!
