This restaurant serves the best Sinaloa-style seafood in town. I highly recommend starting with a dozen raw oysters or a queso fundido. Their signature dish, Los Aguachiles, features raw fish, shrimp, and octopus marinated in lime and served in a very spicy sauce; I suggest going for the molcajete to get more value for your money. It’s like menudo for a hangover cure, but probably healthier. On Sundays, El Compa Dimas performs corridos to enhance your dining experience. Cheers!
The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere—warm and clean. Our waiter was courteous and professional. However, the shrimp in the various dishes we ordered was mushy, and while the overall food was decent, it lacked the authentic Mexican flavor we were expecting. On the bright side, the empanadas were quite good. Also, if you're planning to pay by card, be sure to calculate your total beforehand, as an itemized receipt isn't guaranteed.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant with their delicious fresh seafood, which stands out from any other place I've visited. They make their corn tortillas in-house, and everything from the chicken nuggets to the sauces is outstanding. It's also very kid-friendly, offering great meal options for children along with high chairs available.
The food was incredibly bland and lacked any real flavor. Once our meals arrived, our server disappeared and we never saw her again. We had to signal to someone just to get our bill and pay. I ordered something, and they served me something else that I didn’t want. When I sent it back, they still insisted that I pay for it. The lady kept insisting that I had to pay for what I ordered, saying that's how it is in all restaurants. Ma'am, please keep your comments to yourself and do your job.
I really enjoyed the Large Shrimp Ceviche (Ceviche de Camarón Grande). It was truly delicious and exceeded my expectations, especially since I'm quite particular about my ceviche. I was also impressed by the generous portion. I’ve definitely discovered a new favorite spot for ceviche. So tasty!
Welcome to Mexico! El Zarandeado is an excellent Mexican seafood restaurant located in the South Valley of Albuquerque. You absolutely have to try the Seafood Molcajete, which is filled with tilapia, shrimp, and octopus. It's fantastic! And don’t forget to order a horchata.
The fish was fantastic, but I wasn't a fan of the other items that came with it. Additionally, the soda they served required a bottle cap opener, which was a bit inconvenient. However, I would definitely recommend the fried fish; it was really delicious! Book a table now
The fish tacos were excellent. They were shown as whole filets in the pictures, but they arrived diced. Despite that, they were still quite tasty, though a bit on the spicy side. I think some diced mango or pineapple would make a fantastic topping.
