There are many amazing restaurants in Richmond that have unique and satisfying flavor profiles. I thought Stella's and Sen Organic would be two restaurants that would be hard to surpass, however Elegant Cuisines has successfully done it. They have very simple, understated decor with a few splashes of color to draw attention. It is a very quiet and intimate location, with service that is quick, but not over-bearing. This place has been phenomenal from my first visit to my last visit. I recently went Thursday of last week and they were closed until Tuesday of this week. However, the owner is from Liberia, the spices in her food and provide such a wonderful robust flavor in the mouth Saturday brunch 0MG the lemon waffles are out of this world, especially with me being vegan and having an extreme gluten allergy, they have made every accommodation average small business would not even think about offering. I had a pleasant experience at Elegant Cuizines. They were able to accommodate my nut allergy, ensuring that I could enjoy the food without any issues. The food was delicious. At Elegant Cuizines, they treat their customers with utmost respect and did a wonderful job responding to customers ' comments, even the silly ones. Side Note: If you want your food fried extra hard and/or Coke products go to Lee 's Chicken ... this is Elegant African Cuisine
I treated my son to celebrate Liberian Day at Elegant Cuizines. It was a grand experience. We learned more about the Liberian culture. We have been eating Chef Headon's food for many many years! As always everything was prepared to perfection! I ate so much delicious food that I had to take most of my jollof rice home...I had to save room for dessert! I highly recommend a visit to the restaurant, you will not be disappointed!

The food was amazing! It was fresh and flavorful. Tried the jackfruit egg rolls and chicken egg rolls. Soooo tasty. Got the sweet potato pie to go. Looks delicious. Cannot wait to dig into it! Service was also good. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is nice. Temperature is just right. Great music playing. I am interested in coming back. Maybe to try the brunch.
Today was my first official time eating at this restaurant,I will forever be a customer . I ordered their vegan jackfruit mushroom burger fries , vegan sweet potato omg so delicious the presentation of the food was just exquisite can't wait to go back ,try more vegan items on the menu also the service is good restaurant is clean as well ,very elegant 10 10
Had a wonderful fancy vegan meal! The whole experience was fabulous start to finish. The vegan chicken was my favorite but the egg rolls with jack fruit were amazing too! The vegan crab cake was delicious! Will definitely be back. The owners Charles and Teresa were so kind and friendly. Great date night.
This was a amazing experience wit a kind man giving us a free dessert then to the amazing atmosphere having many laughs and chuckles with the place! I recommended for a good time and a nice day!
