We have been given this dinner recommendation many times and due to the fact that we like to eat outside usually while in BI we never have tried it. Until tonight!It was a rainy windy night in Sept and we decided to try it….and we were blown away!The beef poutine appie and arugula and goat cheese salad were amazing! So fresh and flavorful. The scallops were so perfectly prepared I almost did not want to touch them! My husband had the chicken and it was like a small thanksgiving dinner in my mouth! Everything was seasoned perfectly and prepared without missing a beat!And the pineapple panna cotta was the most refreshing dessert to complete the meal!We will definitely return!! Thank you!!!
If your desire is to depart with as much of your money as possible for nothing, then step right in. Little to celebrate as the wait staff cannot wait to have you leave it felt as if they wanted you to drop a $100 and just walk out. Then we move on to the food over seasoned does not do an adequate job to describe it. Inedible does a better job. Not sure who is handling the kitchen. Wine list is actually ok. So to sum up over spiced, over seasoned, and I was oversold to walk in there. Avoid.
Tuna Nachos! If you ever find yourself in this adorable restaurant on this beautiful island, try the tuna nachos. The wife and I prefer to sit at the small, corner bar. This amazing spot doesn’t take reservations. They open at 6pm and it fills quickly even in the off-season. The food is cooked with love and the service is great. Even the art on the walls is incredible. I look forward to every time I’m fortunate enough to have a meal in this Block Island gem.
What's not to love about Eli's on Block Island. Service and atmosphere is top notch and the food is unique and flavorful! Perfect place for a quiet meal that allows for conversation while enjoying some incredible food. Perfect place to meet the parents or bring a date and enjoy a nice selection of wine.
