I'm reluctant to leave a negative review since this place is in my neighborhood and used to be fantastic, but I feel I need to share my experience. Unfortunately, the quality and taste of the scones have really declined. I hadn't visited Elwin's in quite a while because my last couple of visits were disappointing. I decided to give it another try today, and sadly, my concerns were confirmed. The scones just aren't good anymore. They have a spongy texture and very little flavor. For me, they're simply not worth it anymore. It's such a shame because there was a time when Elwin's scones were the best around.
NEED MORE BERRIES in the scones !!!The last few times I purchased either the Blueberry or raspberry white chocolate (which were my faves) it is difficult to find the fruit. May be 3 blueberries in the entire scone, so mostly eating dough. I would buy these more often if you loaded with fruit and rate 5 stars!!!To make them more enjoyable, I cut into 4 pieces and put my own fruit in the middle. Added a little butter and baked at 350 for 5 minutes. Please just add more fruit? For the price you pay it would be a much better scone. Thanks!!
My son picked up these scones from a supermarket for the family to enjoy, but we quickly realized they’re neither scones nor cookies. The texture is both spongy and dry. Our initial reaction was disbelief that they could stay in business selling something like this. The package is dated 6/10/23, but that doesn't give any indication of how long they’ve actually been on the shelf.
I ordered a banana chocolate chip bread, something I rarely indulge in, but when I do, it’s because I crave that perfect combination of chocolate and banana. Unfortunately, I wasted $8 on it. I received only a 1.5-inch slice, and it probably contained just five mini chocolate chips. I am so disappointed. I won’t be coming back for this again.

Good scones but the dozen I bought from the bin in front was't on the menu. I was charged more than anything on the menu.
