En sushi appeals to young people who like American-style Japanese food, consisting mostly of American-style maki. The server did not even know what the most basic such roll, tekka maki, was. As such, the quality is good for what it is and prices are moderate. Having experienced authentic Japanese food on both sides of the Pacific, this is just not my cup of green tea.
En Sushi is a neighborhood sushi restaurant with a major difference. There are many fine sushi restaurants in the Brentwood/West LA area, but this is one of the few that has an exceptionally nice decor and ambiance. The food is always excellent and creative.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the baked salmon that I ordered. It had a fantastic texture and a perfectly balanced taste. I will definitely be coming back to order more from this place if their quality continues to impress me.
I had know idea after going to this restuarant for years I never realized it had upstairs dining I didn't say I needed the lower floor because my dad is in a wheelchair so it took us awhile to get hom upstairs but everything else was good Book a table now
More than just a sushi place. Good udon and soba. If you are in the neighborhood, then a good place to eat. But if you have to drive more than 20 minutes to dine here, my advice is to find another place.
Terrible food and service, tasted bad and not fresh. Sushi combinations not tasty. the sushi chef never greeted me and was busy watching TV, never even looked in my direction, awful experience
We enjoyed the specialty rolls. The waitress was very brash and forgot about us. We saw her change and hangout at the bar rather than checking on our table and giving us the check.
