Can I give this place 100 stars?!?!? Honestly this place still makes delicious food and it has been at least 4 years since I last came. I found out I had to travel to DC for work and I immediately looked to see if I could book a hotel nearby just so I could come here. Yes I am a foodie (no shame). My thoughts best shiro and enjera bread I have ever tasted. Huge plus is the vegan menu that delights even non vegans. As usual my husband loved it and wanted more which is saying a lot because he never eats Ethiopian food anywhere else we go.

I hadn't had Ethiopian for probably 10+ years, and didn't care for it when I tried it previously. A date talked me into trying Enjera, and I'm so happy I did. We tried the meat and vegetarian combo, it came with two different types of lentils, greens, mixed veggies, cabbage, salad, tree different kinds of beef, and chicken. Wow, so good. The food is definitely spicy, but not burn your mouth spicy, just very very flavorful. The service was good, the restaurant was clean,
I've never had Ethiopian food before, and this really exceeded my expectations. The restaurant was busy and a little crowded, and the wait for food seemed a bit longer than I thought but we were a party of six so like I can't deduct any points from them for that. Besides, they sat us quickly and were very friendly. The food though is really where they shined. Perfectly portioned, excellently seasoned and just the right amount of spicy. Plus the bread was something I've
I think this is one of the best restaurants in crystal city. eating is delicious and the waiters are friendly. meals here may be expensive if they order several dishes, but if they do not try to order too much, it is not too bad (at least until dmw prices go.) our dishes are derek tibsi and spicy lentils. the seasoning levels vary a little, based on cooking, but eating is consistently delicious. highly recommended! We had the most INCREDIBLE experience here! I couldn?t get enough. The only criticism I have of this place is that the food is so good, and there?s so much of it, that it?s almost impossible NOT to end up in a food coma! For real though, if you?ve never had Ethiopian food, give it a try. Enjera is also very reasonably priced.
we cannot say enough good things about our firm in this restaurant. neither of us had this kind of kitchen before and left absolute lovers of the Ethiopian cuisine. we loved it so much we intend to find it in arizona and learn to make it ourselves. make them please one and go easy, they will not be disappointed.
First time at this restaurant and eating Ethiopian food. I was certainly hungry and I eat mostly meat. The waitress recommended the meat lovers to include her favorite dish as well. This dish was sooooo delicious. I ate the whole platter!!!! There was a small salad and egg which was great!
First time having Ethiopian food and the staff was very helpful in introducing things to try. The platters were very good, but to be completely honest inerja might not be my cup of tea. Doesn't take away from the deliciousness of the food, and good service, just my personal preference. Book a table now
do not miss the opportunity to have Ethiopian cuisine! if they are uncertain what to get, I would definitely go for the veggie or meat lovers combos. they get a lot of different stuff. large portions, the combos for two can feed three.
the food was good, but the portions were small for the price. had the garnels and vegetables that were good. husband had spinat and chicken dish, huh was a little dry. space is small. service was excellent. would go back.
