I had not ordered from this restaurant before, however my partner said he used to a few years ago and it was very good. It was a Saturday night, the restaurant was probably 2/3 full and I phoned and placed an order. I was not told the final total, however expected it to be about $40 for the two of us as we had ordered a main dish each, a fried rice and a short soup. When I arrived I was greeted by a lady who appeared disinterested. I told her that I had placed a phone order. She went and retrieved the food and brought it out. She then added the total up and it was $55! I nearly fell over... How had it got to that?!Not having ever ordered from there before I just gave her my card and paid.Whe...
Went to the Good Choice Chinese Restaurant with my wife last night. For a Sixty dollar meal the Chinese food was very ordinary to say the least. Left the restaurant feeling we cant believe we paid Sixty dollars for that quality of food which was very below par in our opinions. We also observed that our table cloth was extremely dirty to the point where I doubt if it was cleaned after the last diner.Guys tread wearily if you consider going to this restaurant, there is a number of far better restaurants in the area for considerably less money.
We hadn't eaten in the restaurant for quite a while, as we had moved from the area, but have still always had their takeaway meals which are as in restaurant - reliable every time to be what you expect. We were three adults and a small child and all of our meals were perfect.Yes, I do agree the restaurant could do with a re-vamp and paint ... but really .. what good homely Chinese restaurant doesn't require this.... this doesn't reflect on the food and good service with a lovely smile every time.
This restaurant is very large, and a bit cafeteria type of feel. The food is surprisingly good. Have been there twice now and for value for money this place is great. Has a take away food section also, which appears to be very popular.If you are after a quick feed, without the bells and whistle and a great taste, this place is it. It also covers Chinese, Mandarin and Singapore style dish choices. The Roti bread with curMy sauce is fantastic.

We were extremely disappointed with the food. It's the first time ever that I've had a Chinese meal with tomatoes in the dish. We love pork spare ribs and our usual place is now shut down. so we thought we would go back to where we originally got food from. Sorry to say, never again. Tomatoes in a stir fry, yuck.
We used to eat here often, alas no more. I don't know if they had change of chef or something but the food has gone from excellent to average. I remember some time ago the owner being offended that I suggested cleaning the white tea pot spout which was blackened from use. It may improve, I hope so.
A lovely surprise. Old fashioned service and food. Old school Chinese (Aussie style) so enjoyed this. Staff were sincere and friendly. They didnt have champagne glasses but that was OK. Im taking back many friends.
Good food, but waitress needed to have more thorough knowledge of the menu after being asked a question about it.She did go and ask the kitchen,though,which was good.

Always great food. Service is great and good value for money. Does not get crowded so getting a table should be easy enough.
