Entropy is somewhat difficult to find, tucked away back amongst the University of Adelaide campus in Thebarton in a somewhat industrial area but it is a gem to find and eat there. They pride themselves on using ingredients and produce from local farmers which makes it a truly "Eat Local" place. The food is quite good if maybe slightly overpriced for what you get. I have a passion for local produce, and this place exubes this on their social media. Ordered the pepita pancakes as they were gluten free. But they were very unaccommodating with dietary requirements. When asked how dry the pancakes would be without yoghurt (less dairy) we were told it should be ok; what we got was 2 pikelets with a teaspoon of berry compote and no "raw honey". They were dry and horrible. Scrambled egg with capsicum salsa and potato rosti was equally inedible. The venue has real potential for a function however the food I ate was well below average. In fact I can cook better at home. To begin with we were served 'roaming' platters which consisted of platter of cheeses and one of cold meats. They were just placed on each side of the room. We then sat down and as I am a vegetarian the meal I was served was a mushroom 'poo' stew with cabbage. Really could they not come up with anything creative. I came here with some friends for a Saturday brunch as we had heard wonderful reviews. Breakfast did not disappoint! We all had the 'patatas bravas' which was delicious. Only downfall was the coffee. I ordered a cappuccino which came out very weak. I then ordered another after I finished my meal and asked for an extra shot but it still came out weak. Not sure if it's the beans itself or too much milk was going in? Apart from that would still return. The lunch menu looked fab too!

If you are planning on having a function at Entropy STAY AWAY and don't waste your money. They fail to deliver on what you have ordered and paid for, our guests went home hungry. It is over priced for what you get. They stuffed up big time with our function and all the rudest manager could offer was a pathetic refund of $100 and we are still waiting to receive it. There are much better venues in Adelaide do not waste your time or more importantly your money on this venue.
We went there on a windy Wednesday for some breakfast and weren't disappointed.The decoration is minimal and clean. The service is polite and efficient.I had the "Mr Beans" which are cooked beans with a poached egg and toast with a very mexican-style seasoning. Nothing like baked beans! My boyfriend had a bacon and eggs sandwich. Both were delicious!Would definitely come back!
Awesome lunch went there on a cold day. Pete's fish n chips beautifully cut chips great tartae sauce generous serving 2 pieces battered flake.Had a chocolate salted popcorn for dessert delicious The best was the drink and I can't remember the name of it had cinnamon on top with steamed almond milk and honey and caramel.Started with a b. I can't say enough good things about this place. From the second I walked in i was waited on. There's a beautiful quiet non smoking balcony outside which was the perfect scenery for a quiet lunch.I ordered a vegetarian shepherds pie, really reasonably priced and it tasted great. Thank you for a wonderful lunch, I will definitely be back

Fantastic place to enjoy great food with a creative menu. Friday nights are really busy and almost standing room only. Specialised themed nights and the menu to match. If you get the chance, at least go there for a drink. Pretty good venue for a first date.
Very nice local cafe with excellent locally produced food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
