The manager, hostess Sadie, and our waitress were fantastic. They were kind and made my man feel special by wishing him a happy birthday upon arrival and departure. The manager even gave him a free dessert. However, I was not thrilled with the menu or my meal. The chicken was delicious, but the black rice with mushrooms was bitter and the wrong choice for the dish. I also asked for two rolls but never received them. It was understandable though, as the restaurant was very busy. I hope they bring back the parpadelle with mushrooms, chicken sandwich, and keilsalat. Despite this, we had a beautiful birthday celebration thanks to the wonderful employees. Thank you.
The menu at Epoch is creative and diverse, but the execution falls short. We experienced digestive issues soon after eating here, which we believe was due to the excessive use of fat in the salmon and tuna entrees. Our server was not very attentive and seemed disinterested in her job. It took twenty minutes to receive our first drinks, and we had to wait until we were nearly finished with our meal before being asked about a second round. However, other staff members were friendly, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant.

We totally enjoyed dining at this restaurant for the first time. It was especially nice that it is located within The Exeter Inn where we were staying. The service and food were outstanding! We had the fish and chips and the NY sirloin and both were delicious even with needed accommodations for allergies. The entire staff was very attentive and met our every need with a smile. Our server was new and I don’t think things or entered into the computer correctly. I asked for a substitution, but wound up with an additional side, which I was charged $8 for. A new side showed up and we didn’t even asked for it; got charged another $8. The place is pretty pricy but the food is good. The music was loud and we were the only diners inside. The music wasn’t relaxing or anything, mostly pop and rock.
Nice patio setting except for the pesky flies which were distracting and affected the comfort. Salmon seemed cooked as ordered, swordfish slightly overcooked and dry. Service was friendly and efficient. Portions average so consider a starter.

Goid food, very slow service. Overall a good place to for dinner however the service is consistently slow. Friendly waitress but the restaurant needs additional staff

Epoch is a great addition to Exeter Inn. The food is VERY good and the wait staff are very personable. It is so nice to have a great meal and walk back to your room!
The food was fantastic and the service was lovely! I particularly liked the seasonal menu choices.
