Brutally honest review here. I really wanted to give it 5 stars but I just can 't for a few reasons. Ermilios is hit or miss. This is the 4th time we have dined here over the last 4 years. I highly recommend dining in. 2 years ago we got food to go and it takes away from the deliciousness. Food was absolutely delicious this time. The bread with garlic is to die for. 5 stars for the food 's flavor. 1 star on the regular side salad. It 's a plate of mixed lettuce with a cherry tomato thrown in. I watched waitresses carrying back plates full of it, like people weren 't eating it. Maybe make the regular side salad more appealing so people eat it. The establishment itself is very nice. Everything seemed clean and neat. The young hostess was short with her answers and somewhat rude. It was not what we were expecting with first impressions. Not what we are accustomed to in the south. The waitress was friendly and efficient; however, she gave the impression she was rushing our daughter since she was eating slowly. The salad was not a salad because it only consisted of iceberg lettuce and one cherry tomato. The bread was tough, and the tomato basil sauce with the main dish was very bland. The vibe here is so nice! It’s a small Italian restaurant in an old house. Very intimate! Service was exceptional. The server recommended mashing up the roasted garlic with the butter to spread over the fresh bread. it was so good!! also the caesar salad is definitely worth the up charge. It is so authentic tasting!! My wife and I got the pork chop and tuscan chicken pasta. Neither of the dishes were bursting with flavor or salt. Perhaps maybe the classics (spaghetti or chicken parm) would better. For the overall vibe and experience, this place is worth it. But I have had much better Italian elsewhere.
