Zu zweit zwei Nächte im Hotel Castellani (Salzburg Stadt) Ende Oktober 2015 verbracht. Am 2. Abend unseres Aufenthaltes für 19:00 Uhr einen Tisch im Hotelrestaurant "Salierie bestellt. Das Hotelrestaurant im Untergeschoß ist durchaus ansprechend, hat fast Wohnzimmerambiente mit seinen wenigen Tischen. Die belegten Tische waren von US-Touristen der Busgesellschaften belegt. Wir bestellten von der durchaus kleinen Karte mit Österreichbezug 2x Leberknödelsuppe und 2x Backhuhn, 1x mit Pommes, 1x mit Kartoffelsalat: Dann begann das Desaster: Die Leberknödel in der Suppe waren steinhart und mit einer dürren Kruste umgeben, die nicht einmal die heiße Suppenflüssigkeit aufzuweichen im Stande war. We had a nice meal here while staying at the hotel. I would not go out of my way to dine here if I am in the old town, but we were tired and wanted something that was convenient and nearby. The restaurant is small...and cozy, the food is good, one of the few times on this trip that I ate fish, the service was excellent and friendly. We certainly did not feel like we missed out on a meal by not heading back into town. The one complaint I would have about this place is the 3 Euro cover change they have for every guest, I didn't encounter it at any other establishment I ate, and though not off-putting enough to get me to eat somewhere else, I found it a bit excessive, when the prices at the res...
Vor dem gebuchten Konzert im mirabell war ne gute Stunde. In der Zeit gab es einen Schnellkursus in österreichischem Wein, eine gezupfte Wildschwein Vorspeise, ein t-Bone Steak englisch auf den Punkt ( und das in Österreich), eine recht gute entenbrust, beides mit kreativen Soßen und das bei leckerem österreichischen st. Laurent. Ins Konzert gings nach heißer Taxifahrt auf die letzte Sekunde... Salzburg ist klasse
Das Restaurant Salieri im Hotel Castellani ist ein absoluter geheim Tipp mit guter Karte und top Qualität, der Koch und seine Mannschaft lieben Ihr Handwerk und das schmeckt man. Ich kann dieses Restaurant durchwegs empfehlen zumal auch ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden sind. Das Weinangebot entspricht dem Standard ist österreichisch geprägt.

We had the hotel as a gift for my honorary work for six years, a few months ago and chose it again for the Salzburg Festival, We enjoyed lunch and dinner on the first day and were surprised to have such a quality. Especially the wines were really remarkable. Great atmosphere on the terrace in a quiet park
Have eaten here a few times and the food, mainly in the Austrian style was good. I had the venison which can be tricky to cook but it was tender and tasty. Recommend this restaurant even if not staying at the hotel but it is...a bit expensive in comparison. Very friendly wait staff.
We had a great dinner, enjoy the pure taste of each course. For example, I had several pumpkins. We loved the combination of flavors, along with beautiful Riesling. We want to get back!
Es hat uns ausgezeichnet geschmeckt! Leider haben wir kein Foto gemacht - es hat so lecker ausgeschaut, dass wir darauf vergessen haben! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Had 3 courses dinner (with wine! here as part of the Gate1 tour. We had soup, chicken and dessert. The meal was good. The service was okay.
