Ess Bar - Table reservation

This is a fun, popular place (you need reservations! . We went on Tuesday night when they only have seafood. They do not separate first and main courses; we ordered 4 dishes to share between us, and then we decided to have one more, as the butter mug looked so good at a table next to us (and it was! Our favorite was the seaweed that was excellent. The cellulose mosaic was also very good. The only thing we didn't like so much was the Thai salmon and shrimp soup. It wasn't bad, but not very tasteful.

We stumbled on this place during the walk and found that it had a beautiful outdoor sitting corner. There for some refreshing drinks and stayed for dinner. Nice place with large staff and a menu that is written daily by their cook. Pretty interesting combinations of food you could order and not your daily food. Had some hummus fig combination or goat cheese and plum mixed dish that were all great! Would go back here for a nice afternoon and stay in a nice place for dinner.

We went here based on TripAdvisor’s rating. Unfortunately we did not eat here, as they could not accommodate a lactose intolerant eater! We guess all the food was prepared and only needed to heated. The other time that happened to us was at Jamie’s Italian Restaurant in London ... yes they went belly up!

We had such a good dinner that we came back next night. The first evening was Tuesday night with seafood. Food is Asian fusion, strongly spiced, interestingly varied. We ate outside. Staff very friendly. Very good wine on the glass. Not cheap, but excellent, unforgettable food

In the past, the food was always excellent as the service. Lately both seemed to be sub par. The kindness of the staff could improve something.
