We were on our business trip and looking for some place to eat. Estragon seemed fine after reading reviews. But... I'm absolutely shocked not in a good way unfortunately how we were treated by the owner. We ordered dishes both of them were badly...prepared and the fish was completely raw inside. Second dish was terrible basically cooked without any seasoning, salt, pepper whatsoever which made of this a tasteless potato ball. Instantly we reported our doubts after which the waitress convey our complaints to the kitchen... and then the beyond belief situation happened. The owner, who was also the chef of Estragon came out. Located along a quite street behind Adina Apartment Hotel. We had a booking for dinner but due to some unforeseen circumstances turned up at almost Surprisingly, our table for four was still reserved for us! The food was Mediterranean style and their fish...and seafood dishes were excellent as was their salad and vegetable dishes which one of our vegetarian friend took. Nice selection of wine available too and the ambiance was warm and cozy. Definitely a recommended try when in the area andor craving for something other than BavarianGerman food
I got the argentien beef and I was not disappointed. Good meat, well prepared but only with some greens on the side. I missed some potatoes and sauce, but good none the less. The soup which we got as the starter was, however, not particularly good. The overall price was reasonable and the atmosphere was fine. I would visit again. Like at other places in that area, they only took cash which is annoying.
I booked a table for 50 people which was the whole restaurant for our business group visiting Nuremberg. We had an aperitif in the courtyard area and a 3 course meal with quite a large choice for such a big group. The food was really lovely and the service was excellent. Would definitely return! Many thanks to Helmut and his team for the great experience! My whole team loved it.

we went there 1 year ago and it was amazing, and we wanted to get the feeling back. what a disappointment. the food was obviously reheated, the sose too salty. so the prices are cheaper and the restaurant ambiente is nice, but our stomacks felt weird enough to...Skip dessert at the end, which is not often happening! I wouldn't go back.

Had dorado with stewed asparagus. No fancy serving, but clean taste. Portion was normal west european size; I guess some people expecting german gargantuanism will be disappointed, others relieved. Nice, but a bit whimsical staff.
This is my first and only review because to me, a restaurant has to be very exceptional and Estragon is clearly that. If you appreciate fine dining and gourmet quality food, make a reservation and enjoy

It was as good as it can be. Lovely servants, nice place, and most important good food. And the wine, we had a bottle Chianti classico, 10€ lower than other places.
Really fantastic food, quiet place. Salmon with risotto out of this world. Reasonably priced and one of the best restaurants in Nuremberg
