We had not been there in a while and decided to try again. I remember the cozy library and fish. We started with the spicy Tuna tartar, not really spicy. It was quite good but needed a kick to it. We also tried a special salmon appetizer. For dinner they had a veal shop and I asked for medium rear, she said to try medium plus due to the size of it. Should have gone the way I had chosen. We also ordered the fillet mignon, medium rare with a crab cake. We had to return the fillet mignon, it was overcooked, the crab cake was quite bland. I asked them to keep my chop warm while waiting for the fillet. We waited about 15 minutes for it. My chop was even drier and opted to take more than half home...
I recently had one of the best nights out I've experienced in a long time. My partner and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and we felt truly special throughout the evening. The library-themed atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating a cozy setting for our celebration. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, readily answering our questions about the specials. The drinks were well-crafted and strong, adding to our enjoyment. Our dinner arrived promptly and was cooked to perfection. Although we decided to skip dessert this time, it all sounded delicious, so we plan to indulge during our next visit. The food and service have always been outstanding at Esty Street, however Saturday February 24 was an exception. The food was outstanding, however the service was extremely disappointing. Our waiter was extremely inattentive, impatient, and aloof. He was annoyed when asked to repeat a special, he did not check on our table after the food was delivered, and he did not notice that we had two empty wine glasses on our table midway though our meal. I actually went to the bar and ordered more wine, as he apparently had no interest in providing us refills... Since this experience was an exception to the norm, I will give Esty Street another try.

The food was okay to good. The servers are all below average. For a place like this where you're paying good money, I can't believe how bad the servers are. Our head waiter acted like he didn't care and does not communicate well. The other servers were more personable but keep forgetting follow up requests for iced tea, butter, bread, etc. Will not go back to this place anymore. It was 10x better pre-pandemic!
Our first return to Esty Street since the pandemic. We weren't sure what to expect. Everything was terrific. Full dining room, robust menu, great service and still a beautiful ambiance. We are so happy that nothing had changed. We should have gone back sooner. We will be back for another delicious dinner!
Another great date night. The Tuna Tartar was excellent, the beet salad was fresh with just the right balance of ingredients. The Icelandic Cod was delicious. Service was right on key. Friendly and helpful. Our cocktails were imaginative and well balanced. We will be back for another date night soon
My first time there, the food service was terrible our reservation was for 7:45. They didn’t seat us u til 8:30. We didn’t get our meal until 10:15. Will not go back. The only one that was helpful was the hostess. The amount of money I spent there they should have been on top of things. Very

We had a reservation for Saturday night, but when we arrived, the parking lot was empty and the lights were off. The restaurant was closed, and neither the restaurant nor OpenTable notified us about it.
