Had the pleasure to visit Leominster twice recently, in June and again in July. On both occasions, I’ve eaten here. Wonderfully friendly welcome from a Chip Shop which has a real family feel. The staff were really helpful in helping me navigate my way around...Leominster as I’d never been before. As for the food outstandingly good! Had fish chips the first time. Beautifully cooked fish, and delicious chips, with a freshness you don’t always get these days. And huge portions! It was so good, I immediately went back here on my return to Leominster a few weeks later. I was in a kebab sort of mood, and I was not disappointed. Come to the area once a year have used this chippy a few times, was good then last year when we arrived had closed down, so we were happy to see it had re opened, this is where the happiness ends it was the worst...fish and chips we have ever had and we have had a lot, the chips were so dry even the tomato sauce didn't help, the fish was just awful the batter was thick and the fish dry hubby had gravy which we noticed was heated up in the microwave it was the worst gravy ever full of onions with no taste hubby ate more than me which wasn't much, a few hours later he was doubled up with stomach cramps diahoria and feeling sick, great start to our holiday, I started with a bad stomach the day...
A long wait for poor quality. Over cooked greasy chips. Which only come from cooking in dirty oil at low temperature. Soggy batter, greasy fish again, low temp cooking. There was a visible layer of yellow oil between the fish and batter. Asked to mins which turned in to over I should of headed the footfall in the other two chippies in town. They were packed so I went to the quiet place to avoid people. I guess locals know best. At for two large fish and chips there was plenty of food. The fish is large and lots of chips but most of it went in the bin as inedible. Covid be dammed next time I will risk the other places as we just threw most of the chips and the thin cut sections of the fish aw...
I feel bad having to write a bad review for somewhere but we do not very often have fish and chips and thought we would treat ourselves....wish we had not bothered. Cold chips and the fish was all batter and no fish! The service was...really friendly and helpful and hopefully it was just a one off bad night for them but we were very disappointed over something we were quite looking forward too.

Chips were mostly black. Feels like your an inconvenience. Too many choices on sizes of which are inconsistent. Can't complete part of your order without being asked loads of questions. By then you have forgotten what you have ordered, then confusion sets in. Cant get...a portion of chips and mushy peas for less then a fiver. Grrrrr. Not going there again.
We really enjoyed our fish supper from here, which was freshly cooked and red hot. Four of us shared two large portions of chips, but there was loads left over.
I last went here october the new owners are nice i had good food from there but on last visit cold chips the previous occasions lovely food so i would recommend
Good and bad experience here. Food was lovely first time so went back. Second time batter tasted odd and chips incredibly dry.
