Popped in the other evening on the off-chance. So glad we did. We’re initially served with a lovely amuse-bouche and some lovely parmesan snaps with artichoke puree dip. Both delicious. My veal was excellent although perhaps a little too much lemon tasting accompaniments....a matter of personal taste. My wifes' pollock dish was first class. This was followed by a couple of deserts, most noteworthy of which was the rhubarb and strawberry crumble. All this was washed down with a very reasonably priced reuilly. Service was swift and smart and not intrusive. Small dining room made for a very pleasant atmosphere. We use Orleans as a regular stop-off and will definitely eat here again.

Chez Eugène has been a very gratifying experience. It is probably the best restaurant in Orléans, where excellent restaurants do not abound. There is a lot to be praised in this very classy resturant : table, plates, cutlery, seats are high class ; service is highly professional, courteous, attentive, smiling ; meals are presented with style and placed on the table with the right gestures ; food is of the highest quality and composed in the plate with taste. I strongly recommend this restaurant whenever you decide not to nourish yourself but be open to a gourmet experience.

After walking for a while in Orleans city centre, we noticed this restaurant quite difficult to be catched at sight compared to some other ones in town.We reserved a table and we get our money's worth!!! High level disches and really kind (english speaking) staff.I tried sardine as entree and side of beef as main course, both of them really nice cooked, well presented and in proper amount which left roam for something more...desserts enjoyable as well.Wine list quite rich in local wines, the waiter suggested us very well!

Pooped into this little gem a few nights ago on a chance they could fit a solo diner in. Recommend booking ahead. It was early around 7.15, the waiter was most gracious and said of course, if I could be finished by 9. Lucky me! Was treated to the most amazing dinner, asked if I would like to let the chef choose (and I'm fussy) but he did well! Subtle, efficient, excellent service and not hurried out the door. Would go back to Orleans just to eat here again. Thank you!! Book a table now

For Euros 127 this did not fulfill expectations. The service was slow despite several staff members. My entree was a bowl of mushrooms- that's it! The main was sole in butter sauce with boiled potatoes okay but nothing special and the razor clams with it verged on unpleasant. The dessert was a good chocolate fondant and the highpoint of the meal. The coffee was 4 Euros for half a cup of tepid liquid. Not really good enough, I'm afraid at this price

If you visit you are in for a treat. It was hard to decide what to eat and in the end I went for a price fixe menu. Started with an amuse buche followed by a starter a main course a salad/cheese course then dessert followed by another amuse bouche. The starter of smoked haddock was superb as was the rabbit main course. The dessert was a deconstructed crumble and was delicious. Amazing food all for Eu27.I would go back every evening if I could

We dined here during a one night visit to Orleans. We opted for the 3 course menu and had the additional bonus of an amuse bouche. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty. We paid €70 for two with wine included and both agreed we would have paid over £100 for the same standard of food in the UK. Well worth a visit.
