When I used to live in Odessa this 4 hour round trip to eat at Evie Mae's was well worth the drive. Now, living in east Texas it's not so easy. I sure miss this place. The sausage was good, but not great. The ribs didn't disappoint and didn't want to stay on the bone either. Very tender and juicy with a great flavor. The oh my goodness brisket was awesome. Fork tender, with a great bark. Woof. Seasoned perfectly. The sides of cheese grits, which I enjoyed as much as the bbq. The coleslaw was also top notch. Now dessert. Which I rarely get, but couldn't pass on, because I've had it before. The key lime pie is among the best I've ever had. Nice and sour. Go here if your ever in the Lubbock are...
