My goodness this place is amazing. It came highly recommended, and did not disappoint. Make sure you come ready to eat. The dinners come with quite a few delicious sides. The chicken, the fries, and the corn fritters were to die for. The service was great also! Old fashioned environment, with absolutely divine food. Large place with multiple different rooms to dine in. You can even reserve a portion for an event. Cannot get over how close this gem is to my house, and I definitely waited too long to check it out.

I had dinner there with a group of 12, and unfortunately, the service was quite slow. The boiled chicken was a letdown, though one half of my dish was perfect while the other half was overly salty. I had to go to the kitchen myself to get a beverage refill, and it took over 30 minutes to receive the bill. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
The food was exceptional, and the server had a great sense of humor. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5-star rating is that the building itself appeared to be in disrepair, with a hole in the bathroom ceiling and a roof that looked like it might collapse. Everything about this place is fantastic, except for the condition of the building.

Today they did have to deal with being short staff and LARGE groups of people coming in at once but the employees stepped up and handled their business! The gentleman who waited on our table (of 10) did an excellent job of keeping us entertained and keeping us updated on when our food would be out.
The chicken was very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Coleslaw was well shot. Don't even give me the way the maize butterflies are. Green beans have real bacon in them. And potatoes and engraving taste like homemade. I recommend!
