I played on September 10th, and unfortunately, the course is in poor condition. Many of the fairways were in terrible shape, with bare spots, patchy areas, and dark mats of decaying grass. Several tee boxes resembled sand traps. Additionally, the areas in front of the greens were lacking playable grass surfaces. On a positive note, the greens themselves were in good condition. If you play from the rough, you'll likely have a better golf experience until the course is restored to proper shape.
I paid $52 for 18 holes but ended up only playing 9 because it was 93 degrees and there was no cart girl around. It appears that there’s only one price for 9 or 18 holes. I've played $18 public courses in better condition. As a scratch golfer, this is the only review I've ever written. The only positive aspect of the course was that it measures just 6100 yards from the tips, allowing me to finish as quickly as possible. Overall, it felt like I was scammed.
Falls Road Golf Course offers a pleasant experience with friendly staff. The driving range can be quite crowded, but the upgraded yardage markers for 2022 are a great improvement. Walk-up play is often fully booked, so making a reservation is recommended. The course is well maintained and suitable for golfers of all skill levels. Don’t miss checking out the restaurant’s menu, which provides a nice selection to complement your visit.
Falls Road does not provide water coolers on the course during the hot summer days, as it is now a Montgomery County policy across all their courses. Instead, they sell bottled water at the turn. This policy is quite unfortunate in a climate where temperatures can often exceed 100 degrees. Falls Road receives one star for this, but Montgomery County as a whole deserves just one star for implementing such a policy. Book a table now

They will sell you bottles at the turn. This is a pretty terrible policy in a climate likewe have where temps can easily exceed 100. Falls road gets the single star for that, but all of MoCo gets this single star forputting the policy in place.
I got stabbed by a rusty fair bunker rake handle when I was here. Some fairways are in terrible condition. Came here on a Sunny day, thunder alarms were blown at clubhouse, some people finished but most kept playing. My group kept playing and the ranger picked up my tee shot to stop us while everyone else on the course kept playing. Never coming back.

It's always a great time playing 18 holes at this golf course, but this visit was extra special as I brought my 8-year-old son along for the first time. He was thrilled to try out his new clubs and become part of the golfers’ club. The course is impeccably maintained, and the staff are friendly and professional. Absolutely no complaints! Well-maintained with fair yet challenging play. The greens are fast and the fairways impeccably groomed. Falls Road is a fantastic course in Montgomery County—enjoyable to play and pleasing to the eye.
