**The Negative:** I recently visited to try something from the Lanis grilled cheese menu. We ordered a couple of classic grilled cheeses, which were fine but nothing special. I then tried the Bella sandwich, which featured a balsamic glaze drizzled on the outside of the bread but none on the inside – a bit odd. Overall, the Bella was unremarkable, neither particularly good nor bad. I also had the redneck grilled cheese sandwich. The bread was crispy and grilled as expected, but the filling was disappointing: it contained cold pulled pork that lacked flavor and a layer of cold macaroni and cheese that tasted plain. This is now our third and last time ordering, we all got OGs and fries. The bread on each one was like it was dunked in the sink it was so soggy, the meat had zero flavor and was mostly grizzle it’s almost like dollar store steakums, the cheese is not whiz it’s cheap canned beer cheese that’s been watered down too much which is probably why everything was so soggy and runny. And then there is the fries….I had no idea that fries could be so over cooked to the point they were almost black (a few actually were) but yet be completely limp and rubbery-it was at this moment I realized the styrofoam containers for all 4 orders were all hardened and melted which is why they were kind of stuck togeth...
As others have stated, I hate writing bad reviews especially for local places. The first few times the food was decent enough, good portion sizes. Unfortunately they 're suffering from a lack of good employees. Every time I go, there is someone new working and each time they seem woefully unprepared.The current front person swiped my card and then said Do you want to leave a tip? I understand that the tablet software requires that question but the proper way to handle it is to turn the tablet around and let the customer handle the screen until the charge is done.After the awkward interaction, the food took a longer than usual time to come out. The best Philly cheesesteak I've ever had. An order of cheese fries with bacon is large enough for 2 people to share. And they bring your food to your table when it's ready. A nice touch in terms of customer service.In a neighborhood with little parking but the restaurant was smart enough to add a small parking lot on the back side of the restaurant. There is also a door on the back side to enter.Tip jar on the counter; don't forget to bless it. Those guys deserve it.Sorry I forgot to take pics of the menu. Will update when I visit again. I ordered food through Hungry We Deliver (which is fantastic!) but received a call about my cheesesteak order, which comes with fries. They informed me that they didn’t have fries available! I asked for onion rings as a substitute, but they said they couldn't make that decision since they aren't the owners. They also couldn’t offer me a discount for the missing item. This is unacceptable management!
Fat Mikeys Cheese Steaks. Their cheese steaks were big enough for my daughter and I to share. French fries also enough to share. There service was very quick. There sandwich’s however we’re very greasy. Slick in fact. Fell apart, and gave me heart burn. French fries severely undercooked and very greasy as well.
This was the best steak sandwich we have ever had. Been there twice and just as good second time. The place is very clean and all employees wash their hands often. Good prices too.
I love cheesesteak and never leave reviews. This place was the worst. Meat seemed bad by taste, Both myself and wife didn’t even have more than couple bites before throwing it out.
