TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. THEY CHARGED MORE THAN THE PRICE ON THE MENU MAKE SURE TO WATCH THE TERMINAL!!! We came for a Skivenue event, and they charged us EUR pr. jug, despite the menu in front of us clearly stating EUR (it did...not say anywhere on the menu that the price was special). When we pointed out the mistake and referred to the menu, they refused to refund us and basically told us it was our fault for not watching the terminal when paying In addition to this, the doorman completely ignored people waiting in line, because he was busy smoking a joint and chatting with two of his friends. Favela is first and foremost an apres-ski bar and looks to be a really busy spot for that. However they also happen to do a range of South American/Mexican food that is really tasty. We went in one night when most other places were booked up, we happened to get in there around 7pm when the apres-ski crowd had left but before the later-night bar crowd arrives - and I'd highly recommend against being there when that crowd is there if you're just in for the food as it is a bit wild!The food was absolutely fantastic and I would absolutely eat here again. The sweet potato fries and quesadilla in particular were really good.Really cannot recommend the food enough, I think Favela would do very well...
We stumbled upon this place after an afternoon of apres ski at one of the bars across the road, we were drawn to its AMAZING terrace which holds the sun well into the early evening.The drinks were delicious and the food was incredible, my advice, go early enjoy the sun, power through the cocktail menu, don't forget to order the MASSIVE MEAT PLATTER, and finish the evening by drinking a beer through the free flowing rooftop pipe invention they have created in the lower bar!! The Mexican food is excellent and easily on par (if not better) than I have had in London. Tried most of the menu across a handful of visits and would happily re-order everything that I had. The Margaritas were a great addition to the food, and the list of Tequilas was also very good. Great combination of food in the day/evening and lively bar into night. If you are in Val Thorens, make sure you go!

Our worst experience and most expensive meal by far in Val Thorens. It took over an hour for our order to be taken to when our drinks arrived. Just absolutely shocking food and service the sweet potato fries were about the only edible part of...my meal. Absolutely not worth the money, avoid at all cost.
Amzing food coupled with great service. A Latin American inspired restaurant with a wide range of food selections, plus a large range of tequilas in true Latin American style. A massive terrace outside was a great place to kick back with a cold beer after lunch in a sun chair and soak up the sun!
Spent 4 night in VT and this place became the HQ. Superb lunch menu deals, excellent food for solos or groups, excellent drinks (try the jugs of frozen cocktail) and then go upstairs for the DJ.Top spot, highly recommend. Btw watch out for the quesadillas, spicey!
Excellent place for all kinds of people. Vegetarian-friendly, quick service, great atmosphere and high quality food. I went there twice for lunch and also visited the afterski bar, and I will for sure come back the next time I'm in Val Thorens. Highly recommend!

Great for a feed after ski. Really good food, perfect for apres. Not your usual mexican fair. They put a lot of effort into it, really nice tuna. Gets going later ????????
Great apres venue! Food! beer happy-hour! Very reasonable price great food and the five tacos are excellent. Followed by cocktails and beer pong.
