I was somewhat surprised by the prices, which are definitely in line with modern standards—nearly $40 for a large sampler pizza. However, the initial shock to my wallet was quickly forgotten after my first bite. My top two picks were the Shotsy and the Taco pizzas. The Shotsy pizza offers a freshness, depth of flavor, and substance that is rarely found in a slice of pizza. The toppings are perfectly balanced and piled high, with a crust that is just the right thickness to hold everything together without drooping, yet not so thick that it becomes overly bready. The crispiness of the crust, combined with the softness of the cheese, sauerkraut, tangy mustard sauce, and chunks of savory smoke...
This is a fun place! It has always been a regional favorite, all of my life! It can get pretty loud at their busy hour, but it is the best if you want to be with family and friends! You may wait a while IF you choose the busiest hour of the evening, however, but they bake your pizza’s in a reasonable amount of time. ?
Combo pizza was ok. It was my first time in, so it wasn't immediately clear if I should order from the counter or wait for table service. Entrance became a bottleneck quickly, so it seems pretty popular. I ended up ordering from the counter. It was ready fairly fast for takeout. The 10 is a big serving for one person.
Great pizza, great service. Surroundings are just a pizza restaurant without frills and this is no problem. There's even a viewing area where you can watch the kitchen at work. I'd eat there again. Book a table now
The seafood fettuccine came with a clam sauce instead of Alfredo, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it was acceptable, but it felt more like a pizza place than a true Italian restaurant.
Been a long time since I've eaten at an actual pizza parlor. That is, with the long tables and the parlor vibe. We had an excellent meal and I would heartily recommend this.
Had a family gathering for a celebration of life of a deceased family member. Thought it would be s horrible place for that but it turned out great. Everyone enjoyed it!!!!
They used to be the best, but now it's just overpriced hype. You're better off going to Hoppers pizza where they care about the customers. Book a table now
