Felley Priory Tea Room

Sunday 4th June 2023, My husband and I went out for the day to go to a ‘Plant Fair’ at Felley Priory Gardens at Underwood in Nottinghamshire. The drive through the countryside to the priory was a real pleasure with lots of wonderful greenery and flowering trees and bushes and the day was wonderfully warm and sunny. We arrived and parked our car and then strolled round the Plant Fair. We saw some wonderful plants. My husband purchased 3 dark blue agapanthuses’ for our large garden pot, which we had been meaning to do for some time. I have driven past the entrance to this place on many occasions. To be truthful, it's an hidden gem. The cafe is very old school, but great for it. The food was traditional and we loved it. We had sandwiches off the menu and they were fresh and delicious. The priory itself is beautiful and it is hidden in a beautiful location. It also has a small garden centre. We will visit again and we are booking ourselves onto the walks on offer in spring to go into the bluebell woods on their land.

Couldn't have asked for anything more , amazing afternoon tea and lovely staff that couldn't do enough for us. Plenty of food to eat , all home made and the sausage rolls and quiches are from local butchers .great surroundings clean and welcome decor definitely pay the priory tea rooms a visit other food on menu available that looked lovely

We have visited the tearoom at Felley Priory many times and have always been impressed by the good quality local items on the menu. The cheese straws and butcher's ham are especially good!

It seems most people go here for the tearoom! It was buzzing when we were there and food and service was excellent.
