On a hot and sunny summer day, we deliberately chose “Felsenkeller” as the venue for lunch because it is situated at a cool, shady spot. Its interior with a bare stone wall and sturdy wooden tables without tablecloths was nice. Although it was not hot inside we preferred the shady terrace, where the styling of the furniture resembles that of the interior. A perfect decision, since this turned out to be an airy place due to the light wind. The traffic noise, though at times a bit loud was for the most part not disturbing. Among the best beer I sampled in Carinthia: a nice mix of German and American craft styles (though there was more of the former, the latter was well represented by a very nice double IPA). I also really enjoyed the food (I had gröstl — heavy and somewhat greasy but very tasty); the setting (it's a neat building, with bar seating and lots of indoor and outdoor tables); and the service (a group of very friendly girls did their best to accommodate my terrible German). I only wish I had more time in the area so I could sample more from this place.

Had a business lunch here, cheap plentiful of great food. Used mainly for business lunches from what I could see. In doors outdoor places to eat, near a small shopping area plus an industrial area. Would I eat here again yes please.
