During our recent visit to France, my daughter and son in law showed us around the battlefields of the Great War. After visiting the HWK memorial, (well worth the visit, museum is excellent as is the walk through the old trenches) which in itself is both a tribute to the soldiers and the futility of war, we happened upon the restaurant Ferme Auberge. The restaurant is housed on the edge of of a hill and overlooks the beautiful forests the area is well known for. The inside tables were packed and being a wonderful autumn day we sat outside on the verandah. Here began one of the most delightful meals we had on our month long trip. All I can say is check it out. You will not regret the decision...
