We went to Fire Island Grill this afternoon and we were blown away by how friendly, helpful, and efficient the staff is. The food was fresh, tasty, and cooked just right. Their outdoor patio was PERFECT! They easily accommodated my request for veggies instead of rice for my shrimp bowl. In fact, the veggies were so fresh and tasty, I think I'm going to get veggies instead of rice all the time. I walk with a cane and it's difficult for me to carry my food tray. The staff immediately jumped around the counter and took my food to the table in the patio. (FYI- portions are not huge, you won't be bringing anything home. Fire Island Grill is one of AV's hidden gems. If you're into fresh, tasty protein but are on a diet... you NEED to give this place a try. Great service as the owner is usually there and not afraid to get his hands dirty a nod of admiration in my book. I took my friends there recently and they regretted never coming here before. We made a commitment to eat their at least once a week. Give it a shot, you wont be disappointed
It was fantastic! I had the chicken farm salad and steak. The meat was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The salad was fresh, with delicious greens and peppers. The steak sauce really enhanced the flavor of the dish. I made some adjustments to the salad, but I will definitely be back!
