However, what truly unsettled me was when she picked up her phone while still wearing the gloves she'd used to handle food. We visited Firehouse Subs on a Monday afternoon in late winter and were the only customers at the time. The staff was very friendly, and our order arrived quickly and steaming hot. However, I have to take off one star for cleanliness, as the floors and tables could have used more attention, and another star for the broken soda machine. Additionally, we forgot that lettuce and other toppings aren’t included with the sandwiches unless you specifically ask for them.
