I ordered take out on 11/28. We live 10-15 minutes away so I was happy that there's a option on the website to order the Italian dressing on the side so my Italian sub wouldn't come soggy. Unfortunately it was a soggy mess. I think there might need to be some training done because I was giving a ton on dry seasoning on the side while the wet dressing had drenched the sandwich and pickle. Is the pickle really on the side when it's wrapped up in with the sandwich? It was inedible and I had to lay my sandwich on several napkins to try to dry it enough to eat. This was my first time at firehouse subs, and I have to say it was absolutely shocking, how good it was. I had no idea what to order, but I called it in and the person who answered was very kind and help me decide what to order very quickly. She suggested the Hook and ladder sandwich on wheat bread. That’s turkey and ham with some veggies and mayo. That bread was spectacular very soft, fresh wonderful. The sandwich was put together perfectly and I meant to take more pictures but I couldn’t because I ate it too quickly!! I also got potato soup for tomorrow’s lunch and a couple of bags of chips. I placed an online order, but it was not correct. I ordered two chips and paid extra for them, but did not receive them. Despite a sign indicating that chips are included with the order, I did not receive them. I also requested extra cheese on the steak and cheese sandwich, paid for it, but did not receive it. I have been attempting to call for an hour, but the line is constantly busy, suggesting that they may have the phone off the hook. I am very disappointed.

I have recently attempted to order from the Vienna, WV location several times. Unfortunately, they have been out of the ingredients needed to make the subs we desired. In addition, they had a limited selection of chips and only offered Coca Cola as a beverage option. Furthermore, when attempting to contact this location by phone, they did not answer and the call either went to a recording or rang before redirecting to a recording.
I am so glad my family introduced me to this place. They saw the gluten free bun was available and had to bring me over. Very tasty food. I've ordered several times and the quality has been consistent.
Without a doubt, my favorite sub shop in the MOV! I recommend the Hero sub! The motif consists of firefighter apparel and is very appropriate with the theme of the business.
