I’ll start with the positive. The staff was nice. The Purple Haze was refreshing. It’s a new cozy place, not huge. It was busy, but not packed. Plenty of wait (7) kitchen (7) staff around. Not so positive: Took 15 minutes for to get a server to our table, who we had to call over. Waited 35 minutes for food. When it arrived, I was given someone else’s order. When they went back and brought me my order, it was wrong as well as no dressing for my salad and no lemon curd, berries or powdered sugar on pancakes. Confused about all the glowing reviews because to me this breakfast spot was mediocre during my first visit and plain bad my second. Both orders were take out so that may have played a role! My first meal I had the AM super foods bowl which was prettytasty but very small portion size. I had toast with almond butter on the side which was stale and cold. Also tried a muffinwhich was extremely dry. My second try I had the rustica frittata with greens and potatoes. We signed on the waitlist list and was told 1 and half hour wait. The family in front of me made a reservation and was told 30 minutes. I left and return an hour and 15 minutes to approx half the tables empty. The family that was told 30 minutes with the reservation was still waiting. Another party of 10 just came in and stayed they had a Reservation for 10 which you can't do online) was say immediately. The family and I when to check and was told another 20 minutes. Wow!!! (Seeing how responsive is the ownership and how mixed the reviews here, I'm going to comment and not just give four stars.)I have visited this location six times over the past several months. I've never had bad service. At least two of the wait staff have been there the whole time and both of them as well as the other who served me today are very pleasant and attentive.The menu is varied and the food is good. The place is large and airy, well laid out. I have enjoyed my every visit and have no complaints. I wish I could give this place 0 out of 5 stars. My experience at First Watch in Dunwoody was extremely disappointing. I ordered the Biscuits with Turkey Sausage Gravy, Over Medium Eggs, and Fresh, Seasoned Potatoes. However, the turkey sausage gravy was completely missing from my order. Additionally, my potatoes were not a full serving, and half of what I did receive was burnt. To top it off, my "over medium" egg was raw and runny. I will not be returning to this First Watch or ordering from them again.
The staff was nice and trying very hard but obviously the kitchen staff is either short staff or just equipped to handle a full restaurant and they need to adjust tables. quick drinks and coffee and food ordered immediately as we go to other First Watches and know exactly what we want. 40 mins later still waiting for the first bite of food... maybe we can go get lunch instead of breakfast when it did arrive my over easy egg was way overcook.... not sending back as it may be dinner time before i get back
The food generally tastes good, but if you order takeout it is hit or miss. You could arrive at the correct time and your food could be ready or they could have more than 5 tables to serve and now you are stuck waiting 25+ mins after arrival for food. As far as dining in, the entire experience is affected by the below average timeliness of their kitchen.
Pretty busy when we got there, but they had us and the orher patrons seated within a reasonable amount of time. Didn't catch our waitress' name; she had a little flower on her forearm. She was very pleasant. Had the market hash and would definitely get it again. I'd recommend the place.

The food was not good. The Salmon tasted old like it had been sitting, too hard. The biscuit was all crumbled when the waitress brought it out to me. I had to ask for ever little thing. Nicole the waitress was not attentive.Do not recommend this restaurant.
This place has gone downhill. Low quality and jacked up prices. Place used to be great. Avocado toast was bad. Brown avocado that looked like old guacamole. Cold turkey sausage too. Won't be back. This place seems to have no standards anymore. Bye Felicia
