The hostess was a doll. Absolutely kind and helpful. Our server was a nice young girl and all of the waitstaff seemed nice. I think though that I had different expectations of what this place would be like, based on the large number if well dressed folks who happened to be dining there. I felt the food quality was just ok, though I did love the house salad dressing (Orange vinaigrette . I was not too excited about the wine selection, though I’m finding many places here don’t offer quality wines (kind of strange when you have to go to Applebee’s to get a better glass of vino! . We sat outside by the water. The food was average. The cole slaw was chunky and flat no spice with way too much mayonnaise. Avoid it. The green beans needed some bacon or something to pick them up. The server insisted I changed my order from fried fish which fit the setting to what he claimed was a spectacular Grade A strip steak. Reluctantly I took the “special”. It wasn’t. I ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well. It was a scraggly strip steak thin and tasteless. I was visiting the area for one night and needed a place for dinner, so I decided to go to Fish Camp. It was a busy night and service was slow. We were seated near the bar, so I ended up getting our drinks myself at one point. I understood that the waitress was busy serving a table of 24 golfers, which took up a lot of her time. The food was alright, but the kitchen was also very busy. I believe that on a different day, the experience would have been better.
Reservations were not necessary on a Monday night. Very casual. I had a pound of peel and eat shrimp doused with old bay and my date had a crab cake which she raved about perhaps due to the key lime martinis..

The service was awful, the food took forever to arrive- we waited 45 minutes from the time we ordered. The quality of the food was mediocre at best. It's better to save your money and dine elsewhere.
Best food and service around. Everything is fresh, cooke well,and many items are sustainable. They also have gluten free items. Jim is a hands on ,personable, and generous owner
Although this fish camp is on the water it is also located on a very busy intersection. Traffic noise was a big distraction to an otherwise decent lunch meal
