Hostesses at the front stand was rude seemed bothered to do their job, we were clearly interrupting their conversations. We arrived early at 5:35p asked if we could have drinks at the bar until our reservation at 6:15p. The hostesses told us they don’t take reservations, I told them I had one with Open Table, tried showing them my confirmation email, they didn’t want to look again said they don’t take reservations but could seat us if we wanted. We obviously wanted a table so we said yes I told one of the ladies that she may want to inform her manager that Open Table makes reservations for them, without any acknowledgment, she sat our menus down and walked away. Reservation for 6 people. Appetizers were good. Dinner entrees were served cold. The waitress didn't come back to check on us for quite a while. Food had to be sent back. Waters were not filled back up. When it came time to pay, the restaurant would not split the bill (2 families). A 20% gratuity is automatically added to parties of 6 or more. The bill had both a 20% gratuity AND an 18% gratuity added. Good thing we caught that. The waitress was handling several tables not her fault she didn't check on us as often as she should have, but to mandate a 20% gratuity for not so great service isn't the best practice, let alone add both an 18% a 20% gratuity. Did not honor our reservations. Which we made two weeks prior. Showed up at 6:50 for a 7:00 reservation, and was told they don’t take reservations and it would be at least 1.5 hour wait. We came to Detroit and reserved two hotel rooms for dinner plans and were denied with no place to eat!
I believe this restaurant engages in unethical business practices. They do not accurately reflect the prices listed on their menu. We were significantly overcharged for three different items.

It is sad that they can’t hire enough staff to run a restaurant properly. The staff worked hard to make up for the lack of staff but the experience was not to a successful standard.
Going in, all I heard was negativity about one thing or the another: generally this would be enough to steer me away.
We started with the shrimp appetizer which was soaked in oilIt came with only five small shrimp for $15Not worth it.
I requested my chicken be cooked well. It was still a little pink. Waitress had a bit of an attitude.
