Popped into the joy on Saturday afternoon , was lovely to see the owners Amy and Luke who always find the time to stop for a chat , The pub as always was lovely and clean The barman Wayne was very helpful and greeted us and our dogs warmly , he even brought over some water for them without us asking , Can’t recommend this pub enough so welcoming lovely atmosphere , good choice of drinks , best carvey in selsey (my opinion) with great prices , lovely outside garden with climbing frame for the children I just can’t fault this place
We visited the Joy for two dining occasions this weekend. On the Friday night we ordered from the main menu and enjoyed a really good hunters chicken burger and chips which arrived quickly. The food was really good and the bar staff attentive. On Sunday we had booked in for carvery with our family and again enjoyed an excellent meal. The best roast dinner we’ve had in a long time and no washing up for us! We will definitely be visiting again. The food is very reasonably priced and none of us left hungry. Totally recommend
Welcoming and friendly some of the other pubs near had a bad atmosphere and we were not made to feel welcome Spent a couple of nights in the area visiting daughter, ate here both nights and really enjoyed the food and the relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely visit again
Family of four adults and two kids. We sat in one of the enclosed areas in the garden which was lovely. Nice beers and cider and soft drinks for the kids. Food was burgers, lasagne, steak pie, all enjoyable. Nice food at reasonable prices

Stopped here for lunch when first got in to Selsey for a holiday lovely bright and clean, lots of space, good beer selection and food for adults and kids and a little play area for the kids outside.
Absolutely amazing in every respect. To top it off they have just laid on the best wedding the venue was stunning, the food was amazing nothing is too much trouble for these 2. Highly recommended
Good service, busy pub but a good atmosphere, chose the carvery which was good value home cooking. Will visit again, be sure to book as no spare seats at all which is the sign of a good pub
Had an excellent family lunch at the Joy, five adults and four children. The staff were really friendly and the carvery excellent. Highly recommended.
