Fisher's Upstairs At Orange Beach Marina

The appetizer was really good, the shrimp. I got the grouper special. Half the piece of fish was tough. We asked if my granddaughter could get just shrimp and add a side, like the shrimp and grits with a substitute for the grits. The server said they couldn’t do that. My husband then ordered the filet mignon, and was asked if he’d like to add shrimp. So you can add it, but not have it alone? I assumed like most upscale restaurants that you would be more accommodating.

service was good, and eating was quite good, but I would have to give fishers dockside a very low rating for total value. an example of this is the treatment of side parts. I ordered a sandwich that came with a fries. I asked for another page and was told that I could do that for a charge of $6.00 that is the regular full price for the side. it seems somewhat unusual to replace the normal page and pay the full price for the substitution.

Did 5:00 pm reservations upstairs and Barbara was wonderful!!! Had the special appetizer of braised pork belly and Mediterranean salad as starters. Daughter had filet mignon, I had shrimp grits and the hubby had the grouper special. Everything was well prepared and tasted amazing. Desserts were Bananas Foster, Creme Brulee strawberry shortcake. Again, amazing. Casual atmosphere with wonderful food service.

By far the best place to dine in Orange Beach! Always have a great experience year after year. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner special recently- snapper with caviar and stuffed crab. Service is always spot on and an extensive wine list is always available . Cheers to Fishers!
