My husband and I enjoyed a nice dinner here a few evenings ago. This family-run Asian Coffee Shop-style restaurant was clean, the service was friendly and fast and the menu is quite extensive. It took us awhile before opting for the Seafood Curry Laksa Noodle Soup and the Ipoh Fried Hor Fun in Seafood Egg Sauce. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous serves of our meal which were expertly cooked by the Malaysian owner-chef from Ipoh. Dessert of Banana Fritters with caramel sauce and two generous scoops of vanilla ice-cream topped off our dining experience here. We will definitely be back to tickle our taste-buds with more of their mouth-watering dishes.

I visited this restaurant last night after noticing it looked inviting from the outside. It seemed like a family-owned place serving Hong Kong dishes, so I decided to get some takeout. I ordered shu mai, BBQ pork bun, prawn roll, and char kwe tiaw. The staff were all very friendly (unlike some other restaurants where the service can be rude). The prices were fair and all of the dim sum dishes were delicious. I especially enjoyed the char kwe tiaw, which was a tasty Cantonese dish. The restaurant has a humble and cozy atmosphere, giving off a warm feeling. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Five Grains is not a bad restaurant, it's just that there are dozens like it all over Australia. The menu is unimaginative and the 'lunch special' at $10 is not a steal, although it is reasonable value. The dishes have too much sugar; at least they don't stint on the rice. They are generous with chilled water. Business is good but not brilliant; it's a typical Chinese restaurant. The days when you could open a new Chinese restaurant and have the world beat a path to your door are over.

We ordered takeout from this restaurant through Deliveroo. We provided a list of allergens and requested that the food be prepared without these ingredients. The restaurant included a note detailing which items may contain traces of allergens and which were safe for us to eat. We loved the salt and pepper ribs, Singapore noodles, pork dumplings, and crispy pork with fried rice. Everything was delicious. Book a table now

No frills, affordable Chinese Restaurant in Niddrie. They had a restaurant in Errol street, North Melbourne for 9 years and moved Interstate and came back to Melbourne. A lot of former customers have followed them to their new place. Welcome back!Their specialty is Chinese Roast Meat. My favourite is BBQ Pork.

New place in keilor rd. Had nasi goreng and chicken curry with roti. Probably second best nasi goreng i have had in Melbourne. The roti wasnt bad either. Surprisingly good food at a very reasonavle price. Apparently the chef is from Ipoh , so the food should all be good !

This restaurant is well-loved by locals and is a popular destination on Keilor Road. They offer delicious Chinese cuisine with Malaysian influences, especially known for their roast meat options. The roast pork is a must-try!
